HallYu Cosmetics Austin Opening and Korean Beauty Haul

This past weekend HallYu Cosmetics had a soft opening for its new Austin location. To kick off their opening, everything in the store was at least 20% off (with a table at the front of mostly lip products 50% off).

The store itself is simple and cute in layout, with testers for almost, if not, all of the products. They carry a fair number of brands including a my two personal favourites, Innisfree and Etude House. Some of the other brands on display were PeriPera, IPKN, Holika Holika, and many more.

I also loved that they gave samples, reminiscent of the beauty stores in Korea, though perhaps slightly less generous. I didn't walk away with an entire travel set, but I'm not complaining! I can tell that this store will be a go-to for me. This is the first close-by location that carries my staples from when I lived in Korea.

I don't think I've had the chance to mention this here, but lip products are my thing when it comes to make up. In particular, I love shades with peach, orange, or coral tones. There's was no way I was resisting a couple lip products from the 50% off table. I picked up two from PeriPera, the Touch Pang in Brunch with Pink, and the Rouge Pang in Courteous. Both are peachy pinks and are highly pigmented products.

I like to apply them to the center of the lid in tapping motion, and then blend with my finger. This creates a softer, gradient look.

This was the most exciting for me, as I was so close to ordering it off of Etude House's website. The Moistfull Collagen Cream is my absolute favourite night cream. It leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated, and also doesn't break me out.

In addition to the cream, I got the Any Cushion, as I'd been thinking about trying one of Etude House's cushions and my current face product is running low. I used to be in love with my Innisfree cushion, and before that, my Etude House BB Cream. I'm hopeful this one will be a perfect combination of the two. Plus that packaging is wonderful.
